Most clothes are worn seven times before they are thrown away. We think that is a design problem. So we choose fibres that age well, work with workshops that can make things properly, and keep a team whose only job is fixing what we have already sold.

What we hold to

Natural fibres only
Wool, cashmere, cotton, linen, silk and leather. No synthetics, including in linings and threads where we can avoid it.
Every factory published
Names, addresses, what they make and what they pay. You can visit any of them by appointment.
Repairs for life
Our mending studio fixed 4,180 pieces last year. Postage is free both ways.
Made in small runs
We make what we expect to sell and restock in batches, so nothing is burned or landfilled.
